Before the iPad, there was the Modbook, a white 13” Macbook converted to a Mac tablet running Mac OS X (not the iOS variant, the full version). Apple’s recent announcement may have finally put the nails in the coffin for Axiotron as Apple is no longer selling the 13” white Macbook model, i.e. the only model that Axiotron distributors could convert. While the timing of this rumored death is unknown, other rumblings in the Axiotron forums show a mixed picture as some users are reporting an abandoned site while some posts appear to be from Axiotron support mentioning new updates to their line in the fall.
